best& Most Delicious small taco shop around. I LOVE their veggie tacos I get it with no cheese!

My absolute favorite place to get octopus tacos, if you’re in to that. I also love the smoked fish tacos, as the octopus seems to sell out sometimes. It is cash only. If I forget cash, I walk to the bar a few doors down (Westend). Perfect spot to pick up some tacos on the way to the beach.

This place is great! Fish tacos are delicious and I can't stop eating them. Had the ceviche and that was good as well.

Oscar is a hole in the wall taco place. They have good variety of taco including Octopus. Their cervice is good too. There was a bit of a wait on Saturday but well worth it. RECOMMENDED

This place was amazing. Sat outside. The staff were super kind, fast, and good. They were super clean! We had amazing fish tacos!

My favorite street seafood Mexican in all of San Diego! The grilled octopus is amazing, not rubbery at all and full of flavor. The ceviche is always perfect. Highly recommended if you like good Mexican seafood dishes!

This taco shop has 4 seats indoors and bar stools on the outside. Since weather is already great in La Jolla, I ate outside. I had only the taco Especial and it was amazing! It doesn't come with any hot sauce, just pico de gallo. This thing is loaded, the tortilla is about 2x the size of a street taco you'd get from a taco truck, but it is loaded up with seafood and they gave a few nice slices of avocado. Will be coming back if I'm around this part of town.

GO HERE! Literally the best tacos I’ve ever had. Cool place to sit outside. Highly recommend the “taco especial.”

spare little time on this small restaurant if you visit San Diego which won't make you regret, food stuff is perfect especially taco, only flaw is the cola looks like homemade and tasteless

Happy Hour fish tacos at $0.99. Best fish tacos I've ever had. Turn your car around and eat here. You won't regret it. Sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Love the food here. The restaurant seems to be doing the best it can in difficult circumstances. Too bad many of the customers can’t be bothered to social distance or wear a face covering, standing right next to each other on the street. Maybe if some would come with me to see what COVID is like in the ICU they’d bother. Maybe not. A shame: I won’t be back.

I take my family to this great spot quite often! This is my favorite spot to grab a bite. I go to this spot many times. The cooking is very good, the crew is welcoming and the prices are fair. I like going in this spot to have a tasty meal.

Some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. I found this place 4 years ago by accident and have been coming back everytime I come to San Diego. There is not a lot of seating and there is always a line but it is worth it. Just wait it out and you will thank me.

Oscar's Mexican seafood restaurant has some of the best fish tacos I've ever had!! The ceviche tostada was amazing too! You have to try out all of their sauces too! They are a must try! They definitely make the food tastier!

A hidden gem in La Jolla! Love their tacos and ceviche! The surf and turf tacos are amazing! The sauces that they make are a must try as well. Truly a hole in the wall establishment. Very limited seating outside and prepare for long wait times since they make their food fresh.

This is a great place to catch up with friends for lunch or to go out for dinner on date night.

The OG. Tacos are delicious, and while what a previous reviewer said about them all being similar tasting is true, you get your pick of seafood/protein. Highly recommend the grilled octopus and taco especial; surf n turf isn't bad either. Battered fish is a yummy bargain, but why not treat yourself? Honestly, I could eat this every day. Pair with some horchata and mm 👌 Anytime I'm in San Diego, I'm coming back!

Visiting from the east coast and dropped in on the suggestion from friends and a few locals. So glad I did. This is my type of taco joint. They (tacos and staff) were amazing and the hole-in-the-wall atmosphere made it that much better. Would definitely go back.

The best seafood taco spot in San Diego. Hands down. Been coming to this spot for 6 years and the taste hasn't changed. I highly recommend the taco especial. It is a heavenly combination of smoked fish, shrimp and scallop. They grill the cheese onto the tortilla and put multiple slices of fresh avocado. Be sure to get the green and red sauce in the mini fridge next to the register. Another tip, they have an Oscars combo which gives you two tacos, soup, and a drink for $14. Enjoy!

Yesterday, was the first time I visited this restaurant. I really had a great time and a positive experience during my stay there. The service was super professional, and my waiter, as well as the restaurant manager, was full of humor and light-hearted. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.

Best smoked seafood in town.

The food is excellent here. Had the fish and shrimp tacos as well as the mixed ceviche. In the high end they have the surf n' turf which tasted amazing.The house sauces are out of this world and everything tasted fresh and good.

This place was AWESOME. I had my doubts coming from Tucson, but I was pleasantly surprised to experience fresh, authentic flavors at a very affordable price. Additionally, Oscar's has the benefit of using high quality seafood, which is something rare in a good taco joint.

This is simply the best place for seafood in town. Loaded with fresh ingredients and packed with flavor. It's hard to believe it's price being so reasonable! This place definitely punches above its weight!

This place is a hole in the wall, with a small counter to eat at. However, the food was amazing. I would recommend taking some of the jalapeno salsa too if you like spicy. The fisherman's torta was worth the time it took to find parking. The fish stew came in a to go coffee cup (I ordered the small) and was really good, especially the octopus in it. I'm not going to be petty and take stars for ambiance or service, but plan on taking your food to go.

They have the best food. The Ceviche is my favorite!! The Fish Tacos are the best. Some days they have special fish tacos. Just a wonderful local place to eat!!!!

Nice spot with good tacos. It's a small location, so don't expect to eat inside and the seating area along the street is pretty limited. One negative about the tacos is that they're stuffed with cabbage. The tacos still taste good, but it's obviously packed with veggies to beef up the size. The pricing was alright.

One of my favorite taco shop. The grill fish and octopus taco are extremely good. Ceviche is delicious. Right amount of the salt and lime!!!! Every time we come to this town, we had to come here for my taco craving!

What a great place for tacos and seafood!! The location we went to was a small hole in the wall place with no indoor seating and only bar type seating outside but the food was amazing. The workers were super nice and explain everything on the menu. The fish tacos were amazing and three ceviche was really great. They also have a good fish stew and my son loved the grilled octopus taco. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Tortas are amazing and pretty filling. The tuna and shrimp tacos are good as well. Seafood tastes fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing hole in the wall place for Mexican seafood! The tacos are always solid! And the tortas are good as well. Just now that it's a really small place but seating is available outside

Let's take a few moments to be grateful for delicious food. . . That being said, Oscar's Mexican Seafood does not disappoint. I heard it was a great place to go, but no, it's an Amazing place to eat. The menu isn't large, but trust me, you don't need many. They have three sauces/salsas and there is an orange/white chocolate is so good, you're going to be tempted to take it. 😆 I ordered fish of the day, snapper taco, veggie taco, and Oscar's Plate. All were scrumptious!! Go to Oscar's Mexican Seafood, it's better than 5 stars.

A must eat if you're visiting San Diego. I've eaten here many times, and It has everything you would hope for in a seafood taco shop. All of their food is made well. I highly recommend their tortas as the best bang for your buck. They had very reasonable prices back when they first opened this location in 2011 but (due to inflation and possibly other operating costs) their prices have risen to the point where I'd only go on occasion or for a semi-special event.

Best $1.00 fish taco's in PB! Always made to order! If you love Mexican fresh seafood then you gotta try this place. Staff is usually friendly. Clean and well. kept restaurant and restrooms. Eco friendly establishment.
